Level 3 Award in First Response in Emergency Care (FREC 3)

FREC 3 COURSE OVERVIEW:

The QA Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF) qualification is specifically designed for individuals pursuing a career in emergency services, ambulance services, the event medical sector, or those working in high-risk workplaces. This First Response Emergency Care qualification is approved by Qualsafe Awards, the UK’s largest Awarding Organisation for first aid qualifications, and is clinically endorsed by The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh – Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care (FPHC). Additionally, the course is recognized by the SIA when applying for the Close Protection licence.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Learners must be at least 17 years of age to attend the course.

Mandatory Practical Assessments:

- Adult Basic Life Support

- Child Basic Life Support

- Airway and Ventilation Skills

- Prehospital Emergency Trauma Care

- Prehospital Emergency Medical Care

Optional Practical Assessments (Included in 3rg's FREC 3 Course):

- Supraglottic Airway Device

- Inhaled Analgesia (Nitrous Oxide)

- Inhaled Analgesia (Penthrox)

- Administration of Naloxone

- Blood Glucose Measurement

Theory Assessments:

- x2 Invigilated Multiple Choice Exams

- 16 out of 21 to Pass (30 Minutes).

- 28 out of 40 to Pass (60 Minutes).

CERTIFICATION:

Successful students receive the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care.
